Hello friends! With so many books coming out every week, I am bringing you a list of 5 new releases that I want to read and that will be published during the week of June 9 (Tuesday) Let me know which books interest you or if I am missing a new release you are excited about… We can always grow our TBR!.
I tried to pick books that made me curious and at the same time were different genres, so hopefully one of these books catches your attention.
Villa Coco by Andrew Sean Greer
LITERARY FICTION
Told with the signature wit, charm, and humanity that made Less an international phenomenon, Villa Coco is a dazzling, sun-soaked ode to life itself, a meditation on how seriously we ought to take ourselves, and a bawdy Mediterranean ballad about becoming who we’ve always wanted to be.

Nymph: a Novel by Sofia Montrone
LITERARY FICTION
Call Me By Your Name meets Elena Ferrante in this debut coming-of-age novel about a young girl who spends summers working at her family’s timeworn Italian agriturismo, the tragedy that rends her life into “before” and “after,” and her romance with an American girl, which has unexpected consequences

Cages: a Novel by Chantel Acevedo
LITERARY FICTION
Cages is the story of Felix—a zookeeper in Cuba during the time of the missile crisis, an exile in swinging sixties London, and finally a dying man in 1980s AIDS-era Miami. In this daring novel, Acevedo’s most personal and heartfelt to date, the fragments of Felix’s story are put together like pieces of a puzzle by one who knew him mostly as an absence.

The Way it Haunted Him by Laura R. Samotin
HORROR
A terrifying and claustrophobic queer dark academia horror set in a demon-infested archive about trauma, grief and the lengths we will go to for love.

The Book of Birds by Robert MacFarlane and Jackie Morris
NONFICTION
In lyrical and incantatory essays, Macfarlane describes each bird’s habits and habitats, their patterns of flight and patterns of song, how they hunt or fish or scavenge or gather, how they nest and raise their chicks, the myths that attend them, the threats that shadow them–and how their lives intersect with our own. On every page we encounter Morris’s exhilarating artwork, painted from life in watercolor and gold leaf, and animated with an extraordinary attention to detail. .

So there you have it! This is my short list of books that caught my attention being released this week. Let me know if any of these made it to your TBR or if you pre-ordered or you are getting ready to get it!.
