Hello friends! With so many books coming out every week, I am bringing you a list of 5 new releases that I want to read and that will be published during the week of September 8 (Tuesday) Let me know which books interest you or if I am missing a new release you are excited about… We can always grow our TBR!.

I tried to pick books that made me curious and at the same time were different genres, so hopefully one of these books catches your attention.

TAIPEI STORY: a Novel by R.F. Kuang
LITERARY FICTION

Taipei Story What if the diaspora fantasy of homecoming never comes true? What if learning a language can’t bring you any closer to the people you’re trying to reach? What if you search for your family’s history, but your family doesn’t want to share? What if you wait too long to ask the right questions? As Lily struggles for answers, her summer becomes a poignant search for understanding—of herself, her family, and the meaning of home.

THE PIRATE QUEEN: A Novel by Ariel Lawton
HISTORICAL FICTION

A thrilling historical adventure inspired by the life of Grace O’Malley, an infamous Irish sea captain and folk heroine who risked everything to protect her people against the powerful Elizabethan regime.

SWITZY: a Novel by Emma Cline
LITERARY FICTION

Hypnotic and startlingly original, Switzy probes the depths of human consciousness, revealing what a man is left with when the accomplishments and compromises that have defined him, and the illusions he’s relied on, vanish.

ACID GREEN VELVET: A Novel by Grace Krilanovich
FICTION

Acid Green Velvet is a surreal powder keg of nihilism, fathers and their failures, manifest destiny, and American identity, penned in rapturous prose by the fiercest writer of her generation.

Food is a Feeling by Carla Lalli
COOKING

Carla has been writing about food, family, and feelings for many years, and she’s always known that her recipes were about more than sustenance. The 65 recipes and 30 essays in Food Is a Feeling are a powerful reminder of the nurturing, fulfilling, and joyful role that food plays in all of our lives, a very human account of beauty and challenges balancing each other like butter and salt.

So there you have it! This is my short list of books that caught my attention being released this week. Let me know if any of these made it to your TBR or if you pre-ordered or you are getting ready to get it!.
